Go to Home Page

The South Africa Johannesburg Mission covers the northern area of South Africa and the neighboring countries of Lesotho and Botswana. Within the mission are six stakes: Bedfordview, Benoni, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Roodepoort and Soweto. As of 2004 there were 19,000 members in the mission. The mission covers an area almost twice the size of Texas.

There are two other missions in South Africa: South Africa Cape Town and South Africa Durban. Until the Mozambique Maputo Mission was formed on January 1, 2005, Mozambique was also part of the South Africa Johannesburg Mission.
